O-H!!!!!

Ahhhh, it's that time of year again.  Time for an almost totally unproductive Saturday afternoon of watching the Best Dang Team In The Land.  What can I say, other than I am an OSU addict.  This is something you will see me post a great deal about.  So without further ado, here are my thoughts about this glorious game called football:

Once a week the 'Shoe will roar; a hundred thou or maybe more.
Their voices shout for every score, a sound that shakes your very core.

Braxton, Hyde, and Meyer, too, are major parts of this great crew.
They practice hard and power through, this group and team called OSU.

Our foes, they tremble at our name.  The Bucks are here to play the game.
They have their goal, a title to claim; it's time to put all doubts to shame.

Seize the day and give your all.  Hit that team and watch them fall.
It's quite the game, an all-out brawl.  I love the sport known as football.

Jordan Ozerities #10 of the UCF Knights is unable to block the ball as Jake Stoneburner #11 of the Ohio State Buckeyes makes the catch for a touchdown during the third quarter on September 8, 2012 at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Ohio defeated UCF 31-16.

Now, of course not all my posts will be poetry, but as the name would suggest, a good deal of them will be.  It seems to be the best way I can spew my thoughts.  So.....yeah, I'm sorry.  :)  But maybe it's an acquired taste, like coffee.  We'll see.  I hope you learn to like it!  That is all for now.  The end.  Have a nice day.

The very beginning

Welcome one and all!  Or, should I say one, because I can't think of too many people who will actually be reading this.  This is my blog:  Poetry Pudding.  It was created so that I can spew my many pent up thoughts, so don't expect too many posts too often.  And don't expect them to make too much sense.  However, I suppose it is time to give you a taste of what will be up on this blog.  Hold on tight, my friends.

                                      What if?

What if we were all left by ourselves?  If there were no God, no heaven, no hell?
What if this was all that we had for forever?  If this day and age were our only endeavor?
What if this world was without reason?  Like a day without hours, a year without seasons?
What if there was nothing to live or die for?  No reason to try harder, go farther, give more?

But what if this wasn't the only option?  What if the answer was to believe in adoption?

What if there was a God above who cared?  If our whole race could actually be repaired?
What if this life was a mere stepping stone?  If after this madhouse we could return home?
What if there was a way to have everlasting life?  If we could get to a place with no strife?
What if I told you that the way has been made?  If it were true that He has come to our aid?

What if God has done what needed to be done?  If all we needed to do was believe in His Son?

Thus begins my blog.  I hope you come back for a visit once in a while.  It's gonna be a fun ride.
